DBI was founded in 1937. From the beginning, as the name suggests, the company processed bakelite, being one of the first companies in Denmark to work with plastic. The company was situated in Copenhagen – Valby and produced bakelite parts for various industry fields. Shortly after II World War DBI installed first, very simple plastic injection moulding machine. At that time DBI employed 80 people. In 1978 the company was moved to Stenlille and received brand new production and office facility. The company was always family owned and now it is managed already by the 3rd generation.
